Weekend shootings: 7 people, including teenagers, shot overnight in Philadelphia

Gun violence has rocked the streets of Philadelphia once again; Seven people were injured in six separate shootings within a few hours.

The first shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 5800 block of Lindbergh Boulevard. A 34-year-old man was shot in the back.

About half an hour later, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were shot in the arm and finger in a double shooting in the 700 block of Montrose Street.

Around the same time, a shooting in the 2400 block of West Oakdale Avenue led to a barricaded situation at a nearby home.

While a 47-year-old man was recovering from a gunshot wound, police said another man was taken into custody.

Before sunrise Sunday morning, three more men, ages 23, 32 and 43, were attacked in three separate shootings. All of them are said to be in stable condition.

While police continue to investigate, no arrests have been made in many of these shootings.
