Selston: While the wanted person was detained, many weapons were seized

A man facing a recall to prison has been arrested on suspicion of possessing bladed items in public in Nottinghamshire.

Police said the 35-year-old was detained in bushland off Park Lane near Selston at around 12:30 GMT on Sunday after “a large number of bladed items” were found.

Chief Inspector Neil Humphris, of Nottinghamshire Police, said they were supported by colleagues from the fire and ambulance service as they made the arrest.

“We are pleased that we were able to recover a number of weapons from harm during this incident and also arrest a wanted suspect upon his recall to prison,” he said.
