Man who fell into Glasgow canal was taken to hospital

A man was taken to hospital after falling into a canal in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the Forth and Clyde canal near Rotherwood Avenue in the Knightswood area of ​​the city at around 10.30pm on Sunday.

The injured person was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

His current status is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 10.30pm on Sunday 3 November 2024, police received a report of a man falling into a drain in the Rotherwood Street area of ​​Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the man was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.”
