Rugby star Stuart Hogg admits domestic violence against estranged wife

Former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg has pleaded guilty to domestic abuse charges against his estranged wife.

Appearing at Selkirk Sheriff Court, the suspect admitted shouting, swearing and behaving abusively towards his wife, Gillian.

He also admitted to repeatedly tracking her movements and sending her messages of an alarming and upsetting nature.

The court heard he sent more than 200 messages in a matter of hours. Sheriff Peter Paterson deferred sentencing until December 5 due to background reports.
