Nairobi— Kenyan recruitment platform BrighterMonday has partnered with education technology company Arifu to launch the #BeaBossLady initiative, a program designed to support and empower women aged 18-35 in Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria.

This innovative program offers free, tailored microlearning courses to help women develop labor market skills, manage businesses and use digital financial services effectively.

Chris Otundo, CEO of BrighterMonday, highlighted the program’s goal of reaching over 100,000 women in these countries by offering customized courses accessible via WhatsApp, making it easier for participants to attend practical lessons that fit their busy schedules.

“The #BeaBossLady initiative aims to equip women with practical skills and confidence to increase their income, secure meaningful employment and make informed financial decisions,” Otundo said.

Arifu CEO Craig Heintzman explained that the platform offers more than 20 mobile-friendly courses covering basic soft skills, digital sales techniques and social media marketing.

These courses address challenges specific to women, such as limited professional networking opportunities, and provide skills to promote career and business development.

“Today marks an exciting milestone as we launch the #BeaBossLady Initiative to empower women in Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria. This initiative provides job seekers and entrepreneurs with the tools and training they need to increase their income and build successful careers,” Heintzman said. “

The microlearning curriculum provides comprehensive support for professional and personal development, covering key topics such as financial literacy, digital skills, business management and career development.
