1 dead in stabbing in central Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — A man is dead following a stabbing in central Phoenix Sunday night.

Phoenix Police responded to a call of an injured person around 6 a.m. 16th Street and Indian School RoadThey found a man stabbed.

Police said the man had life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man has not yet been identified.

Police teams remained at the scene Monday morning and the search for the suspect continues. Police have not released any possible suspect information.

Eastbound Indian School Road is closed from 16th Street to State Route 51 while the investigation continues.
