TBI investigating fourth death at Campbell County Jail since April

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says an investigation is ongoing at the Campbell County Jail.

The TBI said agents responded to the jail for a reported death Sunday morning.

At this time, information is extremely limited, including the person’s identity and the circumstances surrounding the death.

According to the TBI, additional information will be released once next of kin are contacted.

This is the fourth Campbell County Jail death the TBI has been asked to investigate since April.
