Motorcyclist injured in leg in Akron crash

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – A motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries following a crash in Akron Sunday evening.

Akron police said the 27-year-old operator was traveling north on S. Main Street near Selle Street when he lost control on a curve.

The motorcyclist crashed into an advertising sign and was thrown from his bike.

He was in serious condition at a local hospital, police said.

His name was not disclosed.

Police added that the investigation is ongoing but speed does not appear to be a factor.
