McDonald’s employee accused of showing sexually explicit content involving child

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a McDonald’s employee after they say he showed nude photos and videos of a child.

Craighead County Circuit Judge David Boiling found probable cause on Monday, Nov. 4, to charge Laquoia Staples with distributing, possessing and viewing materials depicting sexual conduct involving a child.

According to testimony, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Staples showed a person he was talking to videos and images of a teenager having sex with another man.

During the interview, Staples denied showing the videos, and the affidavit said he had no way of knowing “due to the length of time he had the videos.”

But video footage showed Staples showing videos and images of the man at a table at McDonald’s.

Staples is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on $10,000 cash/surety. The hearing date is scheduled for Friday, January 24.
