Police said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening in the incident, which occurred around 3:45 a.m. on Nov. 3 in the area of ​​Kathleen Boulevard and Indian Road. Police said the victim and the defendant knew each other.

Keegan Myrtle, 31, of Sarnia, was charged with aggravated assault, threatening to do bodily harm and weapons endangering the public peace, police said.

The accident caused damage to the house

Police said a vehicle crashed into the garage of a home in the Wiltshire district of Sarnia in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said a pickup truck collided with a vehicle parked in the driveway on Winchester Crescent around 1:37 a.m., and the vehicle drove into the home’s garage.

Police stated that a person trying to get out of the passenger door of the truck showed signs of injury, and that beverage containers were clearly visible on the floor of the vehicle.

Police said there were no injuries, but the homeowners were forced to leave the area while the structural integrity of the residence was assessed.

A 41-year-old Sarnia man is facing impaired and dangerous driving charges, police said.

Cops for Cans will take place on November 16

Sarnia police will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Inn of the Good Shepherd in Sarnia on Nov. 16.

Police said officers will gather from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. outside Walmart on Quinn Drive, No Frills on Exmouth Street, Real Canadian Superstore on Murphy Road and Bright’s Grove Foodland off Lakeshore Road.

Police said the 2023 trip brought about 5,360 kilograms of food to the Inn of the Good Shepherd and helped stock shelves for the upcoming holiday season.
