Lock it up? Harris: No comment

16:30 Eastern

Over the weekend, Kamala Harris refused to say how she voted for Proposition 36, a California ballot measure that targets retail theft and would increase penalties for repeat offenders.

How can someone who prides himself on being a tough prosecutor not take a stand on criminal justice action in his own state?

That’s what he does.

Harris did not endorse or oppose a similar measure, Proposition 47, in 2014. Frankly, he realized that the best way to get elected president was not to tell voters what he believed in.

Where’s Joe?

According to White House pool player Steven Nelson of the New York Post, Joe Biden will not be able to attend any events tonight.

“We have an early travel/photo cover on Election Day, indicating that President Biden does not intend to attend public events.”

That means POTUS won’t be around his No. 2 trusted person on election night. Tongues will wag.

Yeah, it’s almost over

I received a lot of emails because I voted for Donald Trump. Some objected to specific Trump policies, but most went after Trump’s character, a big and easy target. Some readers also attacked my character because they told me that only a terrible person would vote for the terrible Trump.

Folks, you look like Puritans trying to put scarlet letters on heretics.

This tactic didn’t work with Hillary Clinton, who called Trump supporters “deplorables.” This made him look like a sore loser, and that’s what he was.

Here’s some advice: Instead of deciding that Trump voters are bad people, maybe you should try to understand why they support Trump. Show some curiosity. Listen and learn.
