A day after 30 leaders were expelled in Jharkhand, BJP suspended 40 leaders in Maha for ‘indiscipline’

The deadline to apply for candidacy was November 4. The BJP’s move comes in the wake of a growing chorus among party cadres and leaders to take action against the rebels during the ongoing election process. A senior party official said:

“It was brought to the attention of the state leaders that if action is not taken against those who cross the party line, it will send a wrong message not only to the BJP but also to the Mahayuti alliance. The presence of the rebels will not only harm the poll prospects of these candidates in the constituencies where the BJP fields its candidates, but also in the Shiv Sena and NCP constituencies.” So the party took action and expelled these rebels.”
