Airbnb gives ‘Beetlejuice’ fans a chance to tour the film’s iconic home

HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, NJ (TMX/Gray News) – Airbnb is offering “Beetlejuice” fans the chance to tour the film’s iconic home.

Airbnb said Delia Deetz’s home in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, was “just as she left it: shrouded in black mourning for her beloved husband and filled with memories, revered artwork, ghosts, and a portal to the Afterlife.” a press release.

The reservation request period is valid from October 23 to November 4, starting at 11:59 PM ET. Bookers must be 18 years of age or older, and their guests must be 13 years of age or older.

When guests arrive, they will be ushered in by Deetz’s “(then)lifelong assistant,” whereupon they can wander around to see all of his artwork.

By saying the name of the ghost from the movie’s title, guests may find that “truly strange” things can happen, and guests may find themselves in the Afterlife by following a glowing green light towards the Waiting Room with other ghosts.

After leaving the Waiting Room, guests will find a “confusing” corridor they can peer through keyholes, but should not open the doors unless they want to “get eaten by sandworms or fall into that demon’s favorite haunt, Dante’s Inferno.” ”

The loft features Maitlands’ Winter River model, and guests can even create their own artwork at an art class hosted by Delia.

While guests won’t be able to stay in the home overnight, those who book the tour will be granted a one-night stay at no additional cost on an Airbnb listing in neighboring Princeton, New Jersey.

“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 film “Beetlejuice,” is in theaters now.
