Woman pleads guilty to abandoning dead child near Columbia tire store in 2017

The woman accused of leaving the body of her dead child in a tire store in 2017 pleaded guilty.

On Monday, November 4, Lavosha Daniels pleaded guilty to charges of Abandonment of a Corpse and First Degree Manslaughter.

He was charged after the body of a four- to five-month-old child was found behind McKnight Tire on Providence Road on Aug. 15, 2019.

Police say the boy named Samone He died in 2017.

Daniels and the child’s father, Staffone Fountain Arrested in 2022

Prosecutors charged Fountain with First Degree Murder and Abandonment of a Corpse.

Çeşme on 30 August pleaded guilty to the crime of abandonment and the lesser penalty of Involuntary Manslaughter – First Degree.

He was sentenced to 7 years in prison for murder and 4 years in prison for abandonment.

They will be served simultaneously and credit will be given for the time served.

Daniels’ sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 16, 2024.
