Hillsborough Donald Trump supporter arrested and charged with assaulting 2 women supporting Kamala Harris

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man accused of attacking two women near a polling place on Election Day.

The man is 71 years old Stuart James McMillanHe was at the corner of Fishhawk Crossing Boulevard and Dorman Road in Lithia when deputies said he got into an argument with two women over a political disagreement.

The Sheriff’s Office said McMillan “made physical contact with both women,” “knocked down one of the victim’s flags” and grabbed her “by her hair and throat.”

“The second victim attempted to help and McMillan began attacking her and grabbed her by the throat as well.” According to the sheriff’s office.

The altercation occurred at the polling place in Fishhawk Farm, just south of the Palmetto Club.

The sheriff’s office did not say which candidates the parties involved supported or what their flags said.

But Representative. Danny Alvarezwho represents House District 69 in Hillsborough County, witnessed the fight. He said two women were waving flags supporting the Vice President. Kamala Harris for the president when McMillan showed up with his own flag to support the former president. Donald Trump. He said the women moved to avoid McMillan, but he followed them and an argument began.

“It looked like they were playing swords with flags,” Alvarez said of the incident.

Alvarez, a Republican and retired army veteran, helped break up the altercation before law enforcement arrived. His description of the attack matched that of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

“He tried to strangle them three times,” Alvarez said. “We don’t let women drown here.”

Alvarez added that the women demonstrated peacefully and respectfully.

McMillan was charged with two counts of battery.

“Our community is built on respect and understanding, even when opinions differ,” Sharif said Chad Chronister in question. “Violence has no place in our society, and we will hold accountable anyone who disrupts the safety and civility of our neighborhoods in Hillsborough County.”
