Lyons man failed to appear in court after resisting and obstructing arrest

A Lyons resident was arrested after an outstanding warrant for missing a court appearance on previous charges, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Dakota J. Norris, 29, was originally given a hearing after a Sept. 12 incident in Lyons that led to charges of obstructing government administration and resisting arrest.

An arrest warrant was issued for Norris, who failed to appear in court, and Norris was later located and taken into custody by Deputy Lucia on November 6. Norris was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where he awaited central hearing to address outstanding charges.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details regarding Norris’ initial charges.
