Former President Donald Trump Voted on Election Day at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center on Seaview Boulevard in Palm Beach.

His wife also attended former First Lady Melania Trump.

Their son Barron Trump was not seen with them polling stationand it is not clear where he voted. An email sent to the Trump campaign seeking comment was not returned by Tuesday afternoon.

As the Republican candidate, Trump is running for a second term in the White House against vice presidential candidate U.S. Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio and Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Speaking for more than 10 minutes to members of the media gathered in the Recreation Center’s gym, Trump said he felt this was the best of his three campaigns for president.

“I think we will have a great victory today,” he said.

Trump said voters’ No. 1 issue is immigration.

“We want people to come to our country, but they have to come legally,” he said. “We want strong borders”

Asked whether it would deter violence from his supporters, Trump decried the question.

“My supporters are not violent people. I don’t have to tell them that,” he said. “I certainly don’t want any violence, but I definitely — these are wonderful people. These are people who don’t believe in violence. Contrary to your question, you do believe in violence,” he told the reporter.

Trump said he and Melania Trump will go to the campaign offices in West Palm Beach to thank the workers there before returning to Mar-a-Lago.

Trump stated that he had not yet written a speech for Tuesday night, noting that he had made many speeches in the last two days while including last-minute rallies in his schedule towards the end of the campaign.

“We’ve had a lot of conversations. You can probably tell,” he said, referring to the hoarseness in his voice. “I’m not a Democrat. I can make a speech very quickly. If I win, I know what to say. And I don’t even want to think about the losing part.”

Trump reminded Republicans who might be in line to vote to stay in line.

Security around the Recreation Center was tight Tuesday morning; The public parking lot on Royal Palm Way closed before Trump’s arrival, and a row of white tents formed a tunnel from that parking lot to the south entrance of the polling place.

Parking in the municipal parking lot next to the Recreation Center on the north side of Royal Palm Way, near Seaview Park, will be limited on Monday and will be fully available by 2013 on Tuesday, town officials said in an email to the Recreation Department on Friday. In the days leading up to Election Day, it was unclear exactly when Trump and his family would vote, so members of the media gathered outside the Recreation Center early Tuesday to try to catch a glimpse of the Republican presidential candidate. Media representatives included representatives from India, Portugal, Germany, Denmark and Japan.

While at the Trump Recreation Center, the media pointed cameras at the facility’s north entrance.

Many of the Trump supporters lined up on the sidewalk Tuesday morning as they gathered and waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the candidate. Some sat on a wall outside Palm Beach Public Elementary School, while others waited near the Recreation Center’s tennis courts. Some tennis players paused their games for more than an hour as they waited for Trump to appear.

Trump did not come out to wave and speak to the media as he had in years past. Instead, he was quickly escorted from his motorcade through the south entrance of Royal Palm Way to the Recreation Center across the street from the polling place, where hundreds of people had gathered. The Trumps left through the south entrance after speaking to reporters in the gym. Some people in the north lawn of the Recreation Center saw Trump’s silhouette through the window.

Voters who were supposed to vote Tuesday were able to enter from the north side of the Recreation Center. A trio of parking lots on Seaview Boulevard are marked with signs and traffic barricades as 30-minute voter-only spots.

Most of the other spaces in Seaview have been occupied by the media.

The Trumps planned to wait at Mar-a-Lago until 10 p.m. Tuesday before heading to the Trump campaign’s Election Night watch party at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.
