Nations League: Deschamps announces Mbappe’s omission from France squad

France coach Didier Deschamps announced his decision to exclude Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe from his squad once again.

Deschamps announced his 23-man squad for France’s UEFA Nations League matches against Italy and Israel earlier on Thursday.

However, Mbappe’s name was not prominently featured, leading to surprises and speculation.

“I talked to Kylian and made my decision. It’s better this way,” Fabrizio Romano quoted Deschamps as saying.

“Mbappé wanted to come with us, not because of any other problem.”

The latest omission was Mbappe’s absence from the national team for the fourth consecutive year.
