Cleveland police make arrests in Columbus in connection with September street raids

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland police announced Thursday that at least four more people have been arrested in connection with street raids on September 28 and 29.

The Cleveland Police Street Takeover Task Force conducted a coordinated arrest and search warrant operation in multiple locations in Columbus.

Police said the efforts resulted in multiple arrests, including four suspects.

Police said Sayvion Lewis, 22, Cameron Parsley, 22, William Whitted, 25, and Deshawn Crane, 28, were arrested for their participation in street raids that took place Sept. 28 and 29 in Cleveland.

According to police, Lewis was arrested for violent riot, tampering with evidence, disrupting public service, possession of criminal instruments and failure to comply.

Police confirmed Parsley was arrested for violent rioting, tampering with evidence, disruption of public service, possession of criminal tools and failure to comply.

Police said Whitted was arrested on charges of violent riot, disruption of public service and possession of criminal tools.

Police said Crane was arrested on charges of inciting a riot, disrupting public service, possessing criminal tools and tampering with evidence.

Additionally, the police reported that 4 vehicles and a firearm were seized as part of the operation.
