Two arrested in northeast Nebraska after burglary

STANTON, Neb. (KTIV) – The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at a residence on Wednesday, November 6th.

According to the press release, a report of a theft came in shortly after 1pm on Wednesday, November 6th.

Deputies said when they arrived at the scene, a man and a woman had exited the residence and got into a minivan and drove away.

The van was later located in Stanton and the Sheriff’s Office contacted the subjects.

Both are identified as Robert Goste Jr., 59, of Norfolk. and was identified as 57-year-old Sandra Johnson.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Goste and Johnson entered the house by opening the closed garage door and took various items from the house.

The stolen items were found in the minibus along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Goste is accused of the following charges:

  • Criminal Trespass
  • Theft
  • Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia
  • Driving with Suspension

Johnson is accused of the following charges:

  • Criminal Trespass
  • Theft

Both are scheduled to appear in court next month.
