Man arrested for stabbing in Northwest Portland

PORTLAND, Ore (KATU) — Police arrested a 35-year-old man Wednesday, accused of stabbing someone in Northwest Portland.

Police were called to Northwest Flanders Avenue and 23rd Street around 3:15 p.m.

Police found someone stabbed. The seriously injured person was taken to hospital and received treatment.

Using a description, police located the suspect, Zachary Kelso, at Flanders and Northwest Westover Road, one block west of where the victim was found.

Kelso was jailed and faces two counts of first-degree assault.
