Nvidia announced its plans today The company will begin limiting the number of hours GeForce NOW players can play games each month, charging additional fees for more gaming time.

Performance (formerly Priority plan) and Ultimate subscribers will be entitled to 100 hours of gaming per month starting in January 2025. Up to 15 hours of unused game time will be carried over to the next month. Performance subscribers can purchase 15 additional hours for $2.99, while Ultimate subscribers can purchase 15 additional hours for $5.99.

Existing GeForce NOW subscribers with paid memberships as of December 31, 2024 will continue to have unlimited game time until January 2026.

Nvidia says limiting gaming time will deliver exceptional quality and speed, as well as shorter queue times. The 100-hour monthly playtime limit “comfortably covers” 94 percent of subscribers.

Priced at $9.99 per month, the Performance plan gives subscribers access to GeForce RTX with 1440p streaming quality. The Ultimate plan costs $19.99 per month and offers GeForce RTX 4080 and 4K HDR 120fps streaming.

Nvidia continues to offer day pass prices starting at $2.99, along with a basic free plan for entry-level cloud gaming.
