Vigano wrote that the 2024 election is a choice “between a conservative President who pays with his life for his fight against the deep state and a hellish monster who obeys Satan.”

He added that Catholics cannot avoid voting and that voting for Harris would be against their beliefs.

“For a Catholic, there can be no doubt: voting for Kamala Harris is morally unacceptable and constitutes a grave sin. It is also morally impossible to avoid this, because declaring neutrality in this war means making an alliance with the enemy,” Vigano wrote.

“In this election, you must choose between two radically opposing ways of conceiving your nation’s government: you are called to choose between democracy and dictatorship, between freedom and slavery,” he said.

The letter includes a list of conspiracy theories, including claims that the government controls the weather and deliberately starts hurricanes in the Southeast.

“Look at your country! Your cities have become dumps full of derelicts and criminals, drug dealers and addicts, prostitutes and robbers,” Vigano wrote. “Your schools are dens of brainwashing and corruption from kindergarten onwards. In your courts, the guilty are acquitted and the innocent are imprisoned: new ideological crimes are prosecuted, illegality is tolerated and encouraged. Multinational corporations rule your hospitals, and you are their guinea pigs to be destroyed or made chronically ill, so you become their permanent customers.”

Vigano wrote a series of public letters to Trump in 2020, with the former president calling one of them “incredible.” In a letter dated June 7, 2020, Vigano suggested that the COVID-19 pandemic and the riots over the death of George Floyd were the workings of nefarious elements as part of a broader spiritual war.
