Lincoln woman arrested for drunk driving with teenager in car, BAC four times legal limit

HICKMAN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln woman suspected of driving under the influence with a teenager in her vehicle was arrested in Hickman on Thursday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., a state trooper approached a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road near the intersection of Hickman Road and South 54th Street. The driver, a 32-year-old woman from Lincoln, was accompanied by a teenage passenger.

After conducting field sobriety tests, police arrested the woman, who was carrying a child and obstructing traffic while intoxicated, on suspicion of DUI-.15+. He was booked into the Lancaster County Jail.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the woman’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.320; this was well above the legal limit of 0.08 in Nebraska.

After the incident, the young man was taken to a safe place.
