Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks Cover Ron Sexsmith Christmas Song

Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks Cover Ron Sexsmith Christmas Song

The track is produced by Charlie Hall, who also plays drums. He said:

I love “Maybe This Christmas” for many reasons – the shape of the melody, the melodic arc of the chords themselves, the feel of it – but mostly because of its message of hope and forgiveness. While the holidays are about togetherness, they also offer a time for reflection, and sometimes that means thinking about “someone we loved, someone we lost for reasons we can’t quite remember…” really think, “maybe this year love will seem deeper than ever.” When I was thinking about ideas for this album, I was really hoping that this song would resonate with Jason, and it’s obvious how he uses this beautiful melody. And it’s an absolute dream to have Stevie Nicks, one of the all-time masters of emotional delivery (and my all-time hero), come in and amp up all of this. I love this duet so much.

Executive producer Conner Barwin added:

There are no words to describe how incredible it is to have Stevie Nicks on this album. There’s so much emotion in this song, and it was exciting to be in the studio with them, watching her and Jason bond, be creative together, and witness this beautiful song come to life.

Over the weekend Jason made headlines for unfortunate reasons; At the ESPN College GameDay held at Penn State University on Saturday, November 2, a student yelled at Jason and called it a homophobic slur because Travis was dating Taylor Swift, to which Jason responded with the following: breaking student’s phone. Later he apologized. But its new cover featuring the Fleetwood Mac legend is sure to cause even better excitement. Listen below.
