Care workers arrested over allegations of violence and negligence

Three staff have been arrested at a home in Devon following allegations of violence and willful neglect, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police were contacted due to concerns about the care of residents at the Knappe Cross Care Center in Brixington Lane, Exmouth.

Officers launched a criminal investigation into activities at the home and arrested three staff members, who were released on bail while investigations continued.

Police said: “Robust security arrangements are now in place and the safety and ongoing care of residents remains the top priority.”
