Penn Yan man arrested on child endangerment and domestic charges in Torrey

Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Penn Yan man Thursday following a domestic incident involving a teenager in Torrey Township. Thomas L. McCann, 35, faces charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree.

Deputies responded to a residence on Route 14 around 9:13 a.m. following a report of a juvenile complaint. Following investigation, authorities alleged McCann subjected a child to unwanted physical contact and caused property damage to the home.

McCann was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail where he awaits arraignment in CAP Court.
