‘This was never the plan’: Arcane creators deny claims popular Netflix show will run for five seasons

I was previously speaking exclusively to TechRadar Mysterious Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on November 9Christian Linke and Alex Yee said the situation was blown out of proportion. In fact, the duo admitted that it was just a simple misunderstanding and had its origins in a joke former Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent played on Linke years ago.

Linke and Yee’s response came hot on the heels of a Variety article published on Nov. 6. netflix Production of the series, the outlet suggested: Mysterious was originally going to run for five seasons. Unsurprisingly, the story spread like wildfire across the internet, leading fans, including me, to ask why Riot and Netflix? He decided to postpone the time Mysterious after two seasons.

As it is, Mysterious season 2 was always going to be the final episode of the popular animated show – Linke told me that a two-season storyline was slated “from the beginning.” As Linke and Yee continue to explain, Vi and Jinx’s story was always going to wrap up after two seasons.
