23-year-old man charged with murder after allegedly stabbed in Adelaide’s CBD

Police have charged a man with murder following an alleged stabbing in Adelaide’s CBD last night.

Patrol officers were called to an accommodation complex at the west end of Hindley Street just before 8pm following reports that a man had been stabbed.

SA Police said officers arrived at the scene to find a 23-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

The man was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

Police said a 42-year-old man from St Marys was later arrested near the Torrens River.

The man, who was refused bail, is expected to appear in court on Monday.

SA Police said the two men knew each other.
