Three people arrested in fight at Amsterdam Walmart

Three people allegedly involved in a fight at Amsterdam Walmart were arrested.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fight at the store on State Route 30 on Wednesday, November 6, around 6 p.m. Just before police arrived, store employees separated some of the attendees. Some of it was inside the store and some of it was outside.

When a second fight broke out at the store, deputies began interviewing people to determine what happened.

The Amsterdam Police Department assisted in separating all parties and securing the scene.

Joseph Vazquez, 26, was charged with aggravated domestic crime, criminal contempt and disorderly conduct. Arisel Vazquez, 56, and Nicole Vazquez, 23, were charged with attempted assault. They were released on a bench warrant and remanded in custody pending a hearing in the Amsterdam City Court at a later date.

The investigation into the incident continues and it is stated that more arrests are possible.
