LEBANON, Mo. — A teacher in the Lebanon R-3 School District has been charged with half a dozen felonies for allegedly sending inappropriate material to minors.

A press release from the Lebanon Police Department (LPD) stated that officers responded to the high school following reports that Cadle had engaged in inappropriate contact with a student.

In a probable cause affidavit filed by LPD, the student told investigators that Cadle was his science teacher and that he got his number from a school-related platform called Remind. The student said Cadle began texting her directly on her phone, initially telling her that she “looked good that day and liked the way she was dressed.”

The student told officers Cadle texted him over several days, at one point asking for a selfie, which the student sent. Documents say Cadle immediately sent several inappropriate photos and a video of himself, according to the student.

Police found photos and videos in the student’s text messages starting on October 17, 2024. Nine videos were also found along with two photographs of Cadle, according to the documents.

OzarksFirst reached out to Lebanon R-3 Public School, which said Cadle was an employee of the district but did not provide any specific details.

On November 7, 2024, the District was notified of an allegation of inappropriate behavior by a staff member toward a District student. Although we cannot provide specific information regarding individually identifiable student or staff matters, we can disclose that we responded promptly to law enforcement authorities and fully cooperated with their investigation and will continue to cooperate with any future investigations. Our district’s first priority is to ensure the safety of our students. Maintaining appropriate boundaries with students is a basic expectation of all staff in the District, and failure to comply with these expectations and policies will not be tolerated.
