Mobile man sentenced to 77 months in federal prison for fentanyl trafficking and assault on federal officer

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal judge recently sentenced a Traveler man to nearly six and a half years in prison for fentanyl trafficking and assault on a federal law enforcement officer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama announced Friday.

U.S. District Court Judge William H. Steele sentenced the 27-year-old to 77 months in prison on October 29 Christopher Teague on two charges.

He accepted the charges.

Court documents revealed that Teague conspired with others to distribute fentanyl in the Mobile area from July 2023 to December 2023. While trying to evade law enforcement, Teague crashed his vehicle head-on into an FBI vehicle occupied by two special agents and a task force officer.

Teague will be sentenced to five years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

Teague was the subject of a topic FOX10 Bootlegs episode in connection with a shooting in November 2023.
