Ramaphosa was speaking at a presidential imbizo in Umgababa on KZN’s south coast on Friday.

More than 10 children across the country have died and others have fallen ill in recent weeks after allegedly consuming contaminated snacks from spaza shops.

The president also urged parents to be careful.

“All these issues will now be fully addressed next week. I will then be able to make a statement on how we will address this issue to ensure that no more children die needlessly in our country.”
