Syracuse police investigating stabbing on Seward Avenue

A man is recovering after being stabbed in the stomach on Syracuse’s Seward Street Saturday.

According to Syracuse Police, at 5:15 p.m., they arrived at the intersection of South Alvord Street and Butternut Street and found a man in his late fifties with stab wounds who was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital.

Police later determined that the stabbing took place on Seward Street.

The man is expected to survive and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Syracuse Police.
