Arya examines Panchkula’s crime data, issues instructions to improve policing

All police station heads have been directed by Panchkula police commissioner Rakesh Kumar Arya to intensify efforts against drug trafficking and raise public awareness about its harmful effects.

Deputy commissioner of police Himadri Kaushik, deputy commissioner of crime and traffic Virendra Sangwan, ACPs, station officers and crime branch in-charges attended the meeting held at the deputy commissioner’s office.

Arya reviewed area crime statistics and emphasized constant patrolling of jurisdictions to prevent crime incidents. He instructed officials to proactively address public concerns and maintain transparency.

All police station heads were instructed to intensify efforts against drug trafficking and raise public awareness about its harmful effects. Arya also emphasized that legal action would be taken swiftly against repeat offenders and assets acquired through illegal drug proceeds would be seized.

Illegal liquor distribution and public gambling will not be tolerated, the police commissioner has warned. Concerned officers and station heads have been advised to keep strict checks and take immediate action against criminals involved in such illegal activities.

Addressing the rise in cybercrimes, Arya urged officers to launch awareness campaigns to educate citizens on cybersecurity. He directed that all complaints regarding cyber crimes should be dealt with immediately and criminals should be caught quickly.
