2 people died and 2 people were injured when a car crashed into a stationary truck on the F’bad-Ggm road

Two people were killed and two others were seriously injured when their car rear-ended a stationary trailer truck near Bandhwari landfill on the Faridabad-Gurugram road in the early hours of Saturday. According to police, the accident took place around 2.30 am while traveling from Faridabad to Gurugram.

The incident occurred when the Volkswagen Polo car driven by 30-year-old Rahul Kumar tried to overtake another vehicle on the left. Police said the trailer truck, which occupied most of the Gurugram-bound lane, was parked without any hazard lights or reflectors, possibly causing the driver to miss it in the dark. Officials said the crash was so severe that the front end of the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Inspector Rajesh Bagri, station house officer at DLF Phase I police station, said the deceased Rahul and his brother Kuldeep Kumar, 26, were residents of SGM Nagar in Faridabad. “The injured were Rahul’s cousin Rajat, 27, and their friend Satender, 25,” Bagri added. Rajat added that he asked Rahul to go to Gurugram for work that night. Both the injured men, residents of AC Nagar in Faridabad, suffered multiple fractures and are undergoing treatment at BK Civil Hospital in Faridabad.

Police said local villagers at the scene heard a loud crash and immediately informed the Bandhwari toll plaza, about a kilometer away from the spot. Mohit Bhardwaj, corridor control manager at Bandhwari toll plaza, said: “After the paramedics reached the spot, they found the two passengers dead in the front. The two passengers in the back were also seriously injured but were conscious.” All four were transported to BK Civil Hospital, the nearest medical facility.

Police think that the trailer driver, who was probably resting in the vehicle at the time of the accident, fled the scene with the truck immediately after the accident. Based on the statement of the surviving cousin Rajat, an FIR was filed against the unidentified driver under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 285 (obstructing a public road) in the DLF Phase. I’m going to the police station on Saturday. Police stated that efforts are continuing to capture the vehicle and the suspect.
