Baba Siddique murder: UP STF chief says attacker who killed NCP leader discussed murder plan with Anmol Bishnoi

Attacker Shiv Kumar arrested in Bahraich of Uttar Pradesh for sunday Killing NCP leader Baba Siddique UP Special Task Force (STF) chief Amitabh Yash on Monday said he had spoken to Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, about the murder plot last month.

“During Shiv’s interrogation, it was revealed that he and the previously arrested hitman Dharmaraj were from the same village. Shubham Lonkar (accused), who runs a scrap shop near their shop, had contacted them. Amitabh Yash said that he wanted to talk to Anmol Bishnoi via Snapchat when the murder plan was hatched. India Today TV.

Shiv had used a 9.9 mm pistol to kill Baba Siddique and fired a total of six shots at the former Maharashtra minister outside his son’s office building in Mumbai’s Bandra East. All three attackers involved in the murder of Baba Siddiq were arrested.

Amitabh Yash said that the accused Lonkar, a resident of Maharashtra, and Yasin Akhtar, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, provided logistical support to the attackers and provided them with weapons. “These people had reported the location of the victim to the attackers,” he said.

The UP STF chief said that after the murder, the shooter will be given Rs 10 lakh and he should get more money every month. However, the money was not delivered to the attacker.

“They reached Pune from Mumbai and Jhansi to Pune, and from Jhansi to Lucknow and Bahraich by train. On the way, they asked their friends for help to take shelter in Nepal. For this, they used the mobile phone of a passenger on the train,” he said, adding that the STF was arrested in Bahrain. He added that he followed the defendant first.

Amitabh Yash further said, “They were arrested at the right time. If they had crossed the border, their arrest could have become complicated and we might have had to wait for a long time.” he said.

Besides Shiv, Mumbai Police also arrested four people, including Anurag Kashyap, brother of hitman Dharmaraj Kashyap, who gave shelter to Shiv.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique.
