Stabbing victim in Selah after fictional robbery

SELAH- On November 10, 2024 at approximately 1:25 pm, Selah Police were dispatched to the 100 block of W Orchard Boulevard, Selah, for a report of a stabbing victim. Multiple officers and deputies responded to the scene following a false report of a robbery that occurred before the attack.

As the investigation progressed, Selah Police determined that their domestic partners, a 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, were involved in a physical fight and the adult male was stabbed in the chest. The male was transported to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, but was in stable condition at the time of writing. Officers executed a search warrant for the residence, which was approved by the Superior Court Commissioner. A lot of evidence was collected from the house. Female adult booked into Yakima County Jail for Assault 1st Degree DV.
