UK Police Re-Re-bail Suspect Arrested for Former NHL Player Adam Johnson’s Death

British Police have extended the bail of a man who died on behalf of former Pittsburgh Penguin Adam Johnson.

It’s been just over a year since the tragic death of former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Adam Johnson, whose throat was slit while skating during an EIHL game in England in October 2023.

According to BBCSouth Yorkshire Police have extended the bail of the man arrested in this case until January 20, 2025. Detective Chief Inspector Benjamin Wood commented on the news on Monday morning, saying the investigation was complex and ongoing, adding: “We continue to work with the Crown Prosecution Service.

“We are working diligently to fully understand the unprecedented circumstances in which Adam sadly lost his life.

“This complex investigation into Adam’s death is ongoing and we continue to work closely with the Crown Prosecution Service.

“Our thoughts are with Adam’s family at this time.” Wood said.

Johnson was in his second year in Europe and got off to a hot start with the Nottingham Panthers, picking up seven points in seven games. During his time in North America, Johnson appeared in 13 games in the National Hockey League with the Pittsburgh Penguins, scoring one goal and having three assists.
