Three men roam Mayfield Heights, exposing sexual predator

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Officers were notified of three men knocking on doors on Mayfair Avenue on Nov. 3 and trying to draw out a sexual predator.

They identified the men who shared stories and evidence that the suspect had sexually explicit conversations with one of them in the belief that he was communicating with a 15-year-old boy. Evidence showed the suspect wanted to meet for sex.

The men believed the 38-year-old suspect lived in an apartment in the area and worked at two businesses in the city. Officers confirmed that the suspect was the resident the men were looking for.

The matter was turned over to the city prosecutor for further investigation.
