Chicago crime: 8 businesses targeted in Norwood Park, Union Ridge, Portage Park, Irving Park, Jefferson Park, Bucktown, CPD

CHICAGO (Wales) — Chicago police issued a burglary alert for Chicago’s Northwest Side on Monday.

Thieves targeted eight businesses in the Norwood Park, Union Ridge, Portage Park, Irving Park, Jefferson Park and Bucktown neighborhoods on Sunday and Monday.

Police said two or three men entered the businesses before dawn.

They broke the front glass door or side window to get inside.

They then took money from safes and ATMs.

The thefts occurred at the following times and places:

  • At 4:21 a.m. Nov. 10 at 5300 block of North Cumberland Avenue.
  • 7000 block of West Higgins Ave. 10 November 04:34
  • 4700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Nov. 10, 4:44 a.m.
  • 3400 block of West Irving Park Rd. November 10 at 4:50 a.m.
  • At 3:05 a.m. Nov. 11 at 5300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
  • At 3:07 a.m. Nov. 11 at 5300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
  • November 11, 04:04, North Elston Ave. 4300 block
  • At 4:27 a.m. Nov. 11, 2600 block of North Elston Avenue.

Police said the suspects were wearing dark clothing, face masks and gloves. They were seen driving a silver sedan and a dark-colored sedan.
