Valencia man charged in connection with Callery theft – Butler Eagle

A Valencia man was charged with felony theft in connection with an Oct. 11 incident in Callery late last month.

Ryan James Mauro, 30, was charged with felony, criminal mischief, public disorderly conduct and criminal trespass on Oct. 29 after law enforcement responded to find a home and vehicles damaged.

When a state trooper arrived at the home, he found damage to two vehicles and the home, police said.

Police said that the tires of both vehicles were flat and the door handles of one of the vehicles were glued on the same side. According to the statement, it was determined from the residue left on the side of the vehicle that something had been spilled into the other’s gas tank.

Police said that the front door of the house was also damaged, and the keyhole and door frame were glued shut.

Damage was estimated at approximately $7,000.

Police said residents identified Mauro as the person who damaged the home and vehicles.

Charges against Mauro were filed with Evans City District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz on Oct. 29. A court date has not yet been set.
