Stratford police searching for man wanted after drug bust

STRATFORD, Texas (KFDA) – Two people were arrested and another remains at large after methamphetamine was found in a car in Stratford.

According to Stratford Police Chief Richard Coborn, a Stratford police officer stopped a 2018 Ford Explorer on Monday around 7:20 p.m.

Coborn said there were three people in the car, one white woman and two African Americans.

After determining the possible cause, the vehicle was searched.

Inside the vehicle, the officer found a bag containing approximately 45 pounds of methamphetamine.

Both men began fighting with officers after the officer retrieved the bag containing meth, authorities said.

The woman, identified as Brittany Wilson, and a man, identified as Brandon Canady of Saint Joseph, Missouri, were arrested.

The other male got into the Ford Explorer and drove away.

The man is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, with braided hair and a light beard.

The suspect car is a dark gray 2018 Ford Explorer with Missouri tag JJ0J6T.

The car was last seen heading east on Highway 54 in Stratford around 7:30 p.m.
