IIM-Shillong celebrates foundation day with a series of initiatives

Guwahati: IIM-Shillong Thursday celebrated its 18th day foundation day with many pioneering initiatives dedicated to community development, skills development and development educational empowerment along the NE.
governor of Meghalaya CH Vijayashankar presided over the inauguration ceremony along with National Stock Exchange MD and CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan and BoG members, including chairman Shishir Kumar Bajoria, DP Wahlang, Meghalaya general secretary and IIM-Shillong director Prof DP Goyal.
Three transformative initiatives were showcased at the ceremony: Nurturing Minds School Adoption Initiative partnering with Quidotto Memorial RCLP School in East Khasi Hills District and Mawkasiang Umroh Presbyterian Secondary School, Skill To Enterprise Model (STEM) program supporting 30 regional businesses in collaboration with SIDBI, and Regional sustainability Northeast Enterprise Empowerment Initiative (NEEV) program to address the challenges.
The event featured two panel discussions. Moderated by Prof. In the first session held by Rohit Dwivedi, the topic ‘Developing Agile Leaders’ was discussed with Ashishkumar Chauhan and Shishir Kr Bajoria. The second panel, moderated by Shri Atul Kulkarni, examined the ‘Future of Work’, focusing on aligning management education with industry needs.
