eCoustics Welcomes CE Industry Veterans Mark Smotroff and John Sciacca to the Team

We are pleased to announce the addition of two respected industry veterans to the eCoustics team to support our expanding music, home theater, audio, video and CI (Custom Installation) coverage.

Mark Smotroff will spearhead our reporting on new music releases and reissues, including the wave of immersive and spatial audio music. John Sciacca It will unveil the complexity of DIY home theater projects as well as custom installed audio, video and smart home solutions.

Mark Smotroff is an avid audiophile who has previously contributed to Analog Planet, Audiophile Review, Sound+Vision, EQ, Mix, Goldmine/DISCoveries, Big Picture Big Sound, HomeTheaterReview.com, Cineluxe.com and many other sites. He is a deep music collector and an active record “crate digger” who considers himself a “casual music enthusiast”. Mark is also a musician/composer whose songs have appeared on television shows such as “Smallville” and “Men In Trees,” as well as independent films and documentaries.

John Sciacca He is an ISF and THX certified custom installer with Custom Theater and Sound in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he started in 1998 and continues to work today. John has contributed to Audio and Video, Housing Systems, Digital Trends, and Men’s Health since the early 2000s.
