5K and Walk to Promote Domestic Violence Awareness

WEST ORANGE, N.J. – On Sunday, October 27, the South Mountain Reservation will host the Spooky Steps to Strength: 5K and Walk Against Domestic Violence, offering participants the chance to support a worthy cause while celebrating Halloween. The event, to be held at the Clipper Pavilion on Cherry Lane, will be held rain or shine and proceeds will go to the Passaic County Domestic and Sexual Violence Center.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their spookiest costumes to add to the festival atmosphere. The day will begin with registration at 8 a.m., followed by a 5K run at 8:45 a.m. The Scary Scurry Kids Run will start at 10.00 for young participants and the walk will start at 10.30. For $30, Spooky Strides offers an unforgettable way to stay active in Passaic County, show community support, and raise awareness about domestic violence prevention.
