Sylmar man admits selling child porn of local girls on Instagram

23 years old Sylmar man accused of using instagram advertising sexually explicit photos of local girls offered for sale online He pleaded guilty to a federal charge on Tuesday.

Prosecutors said Aranda faces five to 20 years in prison at his Feb. 18 sentencing hearing.

According to the indictment, Aranda used the Instagram username “valleyhoezzz818” in April and May 2020 to advertise that he was targeting local girls attending schools in the San Fernando Valley.

Prosecutors said Aranda received payments from customers who wanted to obtain sexually explicit content from victims that he advertised and offered to sell on Instagram.

The indictment states that when the victims discovered that sexually explicit materials depicting them were being advertised and distributed by Aranda and demanded that he stop and remove them, Aranda attempted to extract additional sexually explicit material from them, including threatening to publish more photographs.

Aranda was charged in Los Angeles federal court with one count of advertising child pornography, one count of distribution of child pornography, and one count of transmitting threatening communications for the purpose of blackmail.
