Duluth Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Home Assault and Double Stabbing

DULUTH, Minn. — A Duluth man was sentenced to 20 years in prison following a 2023 home invasion and double stabbing.

According to court documents, 24-year-old Tristan Jade St. Clair broke into a home in the 1200 block of West Arrowhead Road and then stabbed one victim in the chest and stabbed another victim at least 15 times in the chest, neck and face.

Both victims survived.

According to the complaint, the cause of the incident was a stolen cell phone charger.

St. Clair pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in September.
