Kalpataru Projects secures T&D and residential construction projects worth ₹2,273 crore

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) said on Wednesday that it has received new orders and award notices cumulatively worth Rs 2,273 crore. With these orders, the company’s order flow so far this year is 14,100 crore.

The new orders cover two major segments: KPIL’s transmission and distribution sector and residential construction projects in India.

“Our order book continues to strengthen with significant traction in the T&D business, especially in India. We are also pleased with the new orders secured in the Buildings and Plants (B&F) business, which has helped us strengthen our position in the residential construction industry. Manish, Managing Director and CEO, KPIL “With these orders, our annual order flow stands at around ₹ 14,100 crore and more importantly, around 56% of the order intake to date comes from our T&D business,” Mohnot said.

The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firm’s operations span more than 30 countries, with a global footprint in 74 countries.

In the second quarter ended September 2024, KPIL reported a strong financial performance, with its net profit rising 39.7% year-on-year to ₹125.6 crore from ₹90 crore in the previous period.

Revenue from operations rose 9.1% to ₹4,930 crore in the quarter under review, from ₹4,518.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. KPIL’s EBITDA rose 83.8% to ₹438.3 crore in the second quarter of this financial year, compared to ₹238.4 crore in the previous year.

KPIL shares were trading down 1.02% at ₹1,231.55 around 9.38 am on the BSE.
