After argument, man charged with murder

Following the altercation, a man was charged with murder.

Lincolnshire Police said 45-year-old Vadims Zmicerevskis died following the incident at the junction of Green Lane and St Thomas Road in Spalding on Monday.

Viktors Zeglovs, 33, of no known address, was charged with murder, and a 47-year-old man arrested on suspicion of affray was also released on bail while the investigation continued.

Police said all three people involved are believed to know each other.

The Zeglovs will appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

“We initiated CPR but unfortunately Mr. Zmicerevskis was pronounced dead shortly after emergency crews arrived. We now help detectives carry out house-to-house inquiries and collect valuable CCTV evidence.

“We really need all the help we can get from the public and are asking you to come forward if there is anything you think could help.”

Lincolnshire Police said footage of the incident shared on social media could cause “major distress” to the victim’s family.
